We are Twmpath, a new group of artists and organisers. We aim to promote and generate new work in Wales with a focus on queerness in rural spaces.
Twmpath is a Welsh word literally meaning a hump or tump, once applied to the mound or village green upon which the musicians sat and played for the community to dance. It is in this spirit that we are very excited to share with you our first ever event to be hosted at the Braich Goch, Corris, N Wales, a 450 year old tavern on the edge of the Snowdonia national park.
Join us for a celebration of rural queerness and Welsh mythos with an eclectic line-up of live art, drag, poetry, clowning and music!
This event is a fundraiser for the Anne Mathews Trust, all money raised will help support the work that they do. The Anne Matthews Trust are an anti-racist organisation, working on issues of oppression and social injustices. They are especially committed to working with young people from refugee and migrant backgrounds, and supporting them to develop networks, access opportunities, and equip them with new skills and knowledge to tackle the injustices they face.
