Delioù

Delioù (means leaves in Breton) is the meeting of Czech violinist Jitka Malczyk and Breton harper Célestine Doedens, who are on tour in Wales this Autumn.

In their compositions and arrangements, Delioù draw from their journeys, and they tap into the traditional folklore and their own musical roots, getting inspiration from myths, legends, places, dances and experiences, using modal scales and irregular inner rhythms. The music of Delioù is emotive and full of dynamism as well as playing with the silence. It lets you dream, enchants you to dance wildly, and tells a story at the same time.

There will be a listening part and a dancing part in the evening, get ready to learn some breton circle dances!
